Hofherr is by the Grand Prix Russian Jumping Trakehner, Heops, 2007 leading (by registration) German Trakehner breeding stallion. The dam sire is by the eventing champion, Amiego, ½ brother of Abdullah. Among his progenitors is the great Gottfried Hoogen stamping stallion, Mackensen, full brother of Mahagoni, both German breeding legends.
