Hirtentanz (2003) (16.2h) Premium German Trakehner Stallion (Axis ex Herzlani/Kostolany)

Hirtentanz is arguably the most famous young Trakehner alive, approved by the Trakehner, Holsteiner and Oldenburg German Breeding Associations. Termed by Lars Gehrmann as a jumping wonder, he bred just fewer than 100 mares last year in Europe and the United States, perhaps more than any other Trakehner stallion worldwide.

Semen, Terms of Purchase, Hirtentanz Frozen Semen is in Limited Supply.  The price of the semen is $3,000 for two doses for registration of one foal.  On completion of the agreement, 2 doses will be sent to you. If the mare fails to come into foal, two more will be sent no added charge. There is no Live Foal Guarantee. Breeding will be only to mares approved by David Beattie and/or Kevin O’Meara.

Hirtentanz who was often bred with jumping type mares, is passing on more beauty and impulsion than expected.  This is an important characteristic after the first foal season of the American owned premium stallion which is located on the breeding station Geling.
His foals have good proportions (you should watch that the mare has a good  base of the neck and a long neck form).  The high athletic measure has on top a good moving technique in trot and canter, with clear upward movement.  When breeding to Hirtentaz, the canter quality often improved.
